Bamboo: It’s Not Just For Pandas

By The Mom in Black

Have you ever rubbed a kitten on your face? Have you ever slept on a cloud? Have you ever wanted to wrap yourself in a blanket of cotton candy and sail away in a ship made of goose feathers across a silk sea?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you need to get yourself some bamboo.

That’s right. Bamboo.

If you’re like me, when you think of bamboo, you think of panda snacks and limbo tools. One time in elementary school, we did this horrible white man jump dance to that song “We Didn’t Start the Fire” and hopped in and out of bamboo sticks that were being rhythmically bounced by two kids. Well, that is, we used bamboo for like, two practices until the bamboo bouncing kids ended up with bloody knuckles from too many bamboo-to-floor beatings.

I am currently wearing a shirt and scarf that are 70% bamboo and 30% organic cotton (yes, I’m fancy). They’re from Cariloha and they’re fabulous. And now, 800 pictures in the same outfit to show you that I am both a fan of bamboo and in love with myself…

So, as you guessed, blue is my color. I mean, I like bamboo. Bamboo/Cariloha products also provide protection against all those skin cancer flesh eating rays and are very enviro-friendly. You know, if you’re the tree hugging kind because I totally am (GO Environment!!).

Cariloha is so cool that they’re offering one of heaven’s scarves to one lucky mortal. Click on the Rafflecopter link to enter.
