Eco-Friendly Bamboo Clothier, Cariloha, Introduces Sleek Bamboo-Based Fitness Wear

Cariloha Bamboo Fit - Helix Camis

Cariloha is the only retailer in the world selling exclusively clothing, bedding, bath goods, and now, active wear for men and women that’s made from bamboo.

SANDY, UTAH – Fitness fans looking for all-natural active wear instead of synthetic active wear will find it in Cariloha’s new Bamboo Fit line, which features UPF-certified, natural, bamboo-blend fabrics. The line includes women’s tanks, helix camis, zip jackets, and training pants, along with men’s sleeveless shirts, fitted long sleeve tees, and track jackets.

The bamboo fabrics within the Bamboo Fit line incorporate the following four ‘Ps’ to thriving while being active: Athletic Performance. Odor Prevention. Skin Preservation. Sun Protection.

“Ultra-soft, refreshingly cool fabrics like these are typically found in most active wear clothing lines, but the Bamboo Fit line is unlike any other in today’s market because it’s made of bamboo,” said Aaron Hobson, Cariloha’s Executive VP of Marketing.

Customers looking to build upon their bamboo clothing line and lifestyle will appreciate having a broader selection of all-natural clothing styles to work out in. “Careful consideration has gone into this Bamboo Fit Line,” said Hobson. “We tested these active-wear styles in select Cariloha stores, and the results indicated a high-customer demand for soft, natural alternatives in fitness wear, which we look forward to providing in all Cariloha stores worldwide.”

Fans of the bamboo active wear can expect new additions to Cariloha’s Bamboo Fit line approximately twice per year. Currently, the clothing line makes up about 15 percent of the Cariloha store’s product mix and takes up about the same amount of retail space in a typical 1,000-square-foot Cariloha store.

Over the past year, Cariloha developed and tested its new Bamboo Fit line in partnership with TASC, an American-based athletic clothing designer. “We wanted to offer athletic performance wear that we could be proud of and would meet our own personal fitness needs,” said Hobson. “We focused primarily on combining soft bamboo-fabric blends with other organic materials that were both highly comfortable and breathable and would give athletes, at any level, confidence in wearing them.”

Bamboo Fit Line Features:

  • Performance-weight fabric
  • Flowmesh™ fronts and backs that provide breathability and keep you cool
  • Natural UPF 50+ protection and anti-odor technology for extended wear
  • Athletic sewing details with reinforced seams that offer durability and style
  • Versatile garments that can be worn for first-layer comfort or as a top layer for serious UV protection
  • 4-way stretch for comfort and mobility; lightweight, wicks moisture and regulates body temps keeping you dry and comfortable in all weather conditions
